Nate's Spring Band Concert

Nate had his spring band concert last week. He has been taking trumpet at the junior high. During second semester, the band leader, Mrs. Rose White, puts the fifth and sixth grade band students all together to practice for the spring concert. The fifth graders are always very excited about this, and Nate was no exception. The concert was great and Nate did a good job. One picture shows him touching his lip. He was practicing in the band room right before the concert and another boy ran by and knocked the bell of Nate's trumpet, jamming it up into his mouth. Nice time to get a fat lip, but he did well anyway.

Alana's New Goggles

Well, swimming lessons have been going...ummm...swimmingly. Alana has mostly gotten over her fear and is swimming with very little help now. We got her some goggles to help with the water in my eyes issue. She decided to try them out in the bathroom sink because she just couldn't wait. The pics say it all. "THEY WORK!!! and I'm so relieved!"
